What we collect

Golf East Gippsland Inc. runs this website to publish draws, results, ladders and event information for our member clubs. We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us.

The enquiry form

If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Spam protection

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. Cloudflare receives your IP address as part of that check. Submissions are also passed through our own spam filter before they reach us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they found the site. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are, and what kind of device you are using. It does not tell us who you are.

Documents and links

Many pages link to documents and to the websites of our member clubs and of other golf bodies. Once you follow a link to another organisation's site, their privacy policy applies rather than ours.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful and are cleared out periodically. Analytics data is retained under Google's own settings.

Getting your information, or having it removed

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the Secretary at golfeg22@gmail.com or PO Box 315, Maffra VIC 3860 and we will sort it out.

Changes

If we change how the site handles information we will update this page.
