Men's Pennant Winners Decided

What a fantastic day of Pennant finals played at the Sale GC today. With every match decided 3/2 the results could have gone either way. Bairnsdale GC were victorious in Division 1 defending their title when they defeated Maffra. 4 games went to the 18th hole and the result was decided on the 22nd hole when Jack Young defeated Mugsy. An epic battle. South Pines will be promoted to Division 1 next year when they defeated Bairnsdale. It will be the first time the Pines will be in Division 1 and a great result for the club. South Pines took the double when their Div 3 team also defeated a team from Bairnsdale in the Div 3 EAST competition. It has been sometime since South Pines has won a pennant final so to win two today is a big result for the club In Div 3 WEST the Maffra #2 team defeated Toongabbie. A great result for the #2 team but also for Toongabbie to make the final. Well done to all teams who competed throughout the season and for those who competed today.
